Evaluative Phase â€Love and hate :: Drama

Evaluative Phase Love and hateFirst we looked at the poem Stop the clocks by W.H. Auden. Before wethought round adding hate we thought about what the poem is about. Its about a cleaning woman whos husband has just died and how she isdevastated about his death and thinks the alto get downher world should mourn hisdeath because he was so great (or at least he was to her). So we nowhad 2 characters the husband and married woman and we knew the husband wasgoing to die, which would devastate the woman so much that she wrotethe poem. conterminous we looked at the word hate and its implications. Every maven inthe group had to say one thing they hated. Then we all went into smallgroups (about 3 heap) and had to make a still image of some form ofhate. We chose to do an image of a person being executed byterrorists. Then as a whole group we thought about how we could add hate to thepoem. So we thought that the man could have been killed because he hadbeen hated, then it developed elevate an d we thought the woman couldhave killed the man then she wrote the poem as a cover up. We decidedto make the man copious and the woman a gold digger. When we went intosmaller groups we had the idea that the man pretended to be rich andthe woman killed him when she discovered the truth.Everyone in my group (including me) probably didnt work together aswell as we could have make when we where initially thinking up what todo in our piece. Basically later on we had the idea of having the womanfind out the man is not rich our progress slowed down quite a lotuntil the last 20 minutes we had before performing, this made us rushquite a lot so we didnt iron out all of the mistakes and geteverything exactly right like we could have done, but overall our mental process was ok and it was quite a good idea.Love and hate are both extremely powerful emotions. Both can causepeople to do absolutely crazy things that they almost certainlywouldnt do for any other reason.
